If you’ve clicked on this post… my guess is that you are one of the people who have to stay home since the world right now is a little bit chaotic. #corona 😞
Let’s hope the world will go back to normal very soon. Stay strong! We will all figure something out!
I’m in the Azores … 😳
I get it. It’s not the situation I like as well. It’s scary. Things in EU (including my home country) are nothing that I expected. For sure. I would never even have imagined that it would go that far. #homequarantine 😞
BUT it’s figureoutable.
My family and friends are back home. I’m in the Azores islands with a group of digital nomads around the world (check my Instagram feed or stories @healthylauracom). We have a group of people living in the same building who are specialists in their own field (digital marketing, videography, software engineering, business development, cryptocurrency & copywriting).
We suppose to stay here for 2 weeks (remote work, skill shares, masterminds) but since things in the world are a little bit chaotic, then now it’s already almost 3 weeks …
Traveling back home sounds even riskier. We are all in good health right now & we decided to stay.
We have no idea if it’s a right decision or not, but that’s the decision we made. Time will show us what’s going to happen.
All of us are trying to stay positive & since we all work remotely, then this is hopefully the best we can do in this situation.
I don’t have any idea what’s going to happen next since everything is changing in a few hours.
BUT it’s figureoutable.
Let’s hope for the best. 🤞
If the world goes back to normal, then my suggestion right now is to make the most of the time you spend at home. #homequarantine
Of course, quality time with your family right now is essential. However, if you feel like you would like to get your mind off the news, then you can try to …
SELL your photos online.
I’m sure you have loads of photos on your hard drive!
You might not have any …
… idea of how to make money online.
You might be bored between your 4 walls.
If that’s the case, then let me start this email by saying that I feel ya! 4 years ago I had no clue how to make money online working from home.
It’s a challenge …
And you deserve to make money from your photos once you have reached some kind of level. 😎
End of sentence.
I’m 100% sure of it.
And while it stings right now…
This could be a sign that you need to evaluate your online income and photography.
Even when it’s just a hobby, it is still amazing to get some extra income to support it.
If you are looking for an easy solution to earn money with photography, then this is not for you. However, for me, it was a great starting point.
Also, I’ve made a simple post here to explain little what I mean: “Deleting dollars? Selling images online?“
When I started selling images online to different stock websites, I can tell you that it gave me two things:
- “Passive” income (100-300 euros every month straight to my bank account from the images I took years ago. I have done the work & now I can sleep while my images earn).
What are the best stocks where I sell my photos?
I have tried MANY stock websites.
BUT I have done my calculations & now I have been concentrating on these stock photography websites:
1. Shutterstock – This ones makes the most amount of money for me !
2. Adobe Stock
Not to mention, that one of the most popular images I hated and I almost deleted has made me a few hundred dollars in total.
My usual workflow:
1. Editing in LIGHTROOM (I pay about 12 euros per month for Creative Cloud).
2. Keywording straight in Lighroom + THIS keywording tool.
I get it. That might not be a lot for many of you. Still, when I started that 50 dollars felt like 5000 for me. It was a perfect starting point & side hustle as a student for me before I began to work with clients!
In the mean time, I try to double down on workouts, natural herbs 🌱 and garlic to keep my immune system strong. 💪
I’m sending you virtual hugs and kisses. Stay strong and take care of each other! 🤗🤗🤗
