Quick, easy, paleo & vegan chocolate nice cream smoothie bowl with frozen banana and raw chocolate for Instagram. Perfect as a breakfast bowl or dessert. Hidden frozen zucchini makes sure that you get secretly some vegetables into your diet.
Chocolate smoothie bowl is my all time favorite. No questions asked. If you follow me on Instagram, then you have probably seen this smoothie thousand of times. I try not to eat it too much since my body doesn’t tolerate banana. Still, I usually I make this smoothie as a treat when I have to look at the screen for long hours.
One day some of you asked for a recipe, and I realized that I hadn’t shared the recipe! I have no idea how that happened!? Anyways, I try to fix my mistakes and hope that some of you will love this recipe as much as I do.
In this recipe, I used maca powder since it supposed to be good to balancing hormones. It’s made out of maca plant and is one of the highly nutritious ingredients that should improve mood, sports performance, skin, memory, and even libido. It’s one of the most popular ingredients in the health industry for the last few years.
Some time ago I was curious to try it myself, and I ordered the maca powder (one package usually lasts forever). My skin was breaking out, and I hoped that it would help me to balance my hormonal level. Since skin is one of the topics that is affected for so many things, then I have no idea if that helped me or not. However, I can only say, that my skin went better but the results might be affected in various things that I did as well. I like that caramel taste, and I started to enjoy it in my smoothies and hot chocolate.
HOWEVER, you can make it without this maca powder, and the smoothie will taste amazing. You don’t have to follow the recipe keenly, and you can modify it for your taste. If you have a big sweet tooth, then you don’t have to add the zucchini. BUT I recommend to add it since you will get more smoothie and it gives that nice creamy texture.
