Breakfast Bowl with Granola

Here is a quick and easy breakfast idea. Sometimes when I´m not in the mood for oatmeal I quickly put together smoothie with granola what I´ve made before. This breakfast will be full of vitamines and minerals what you need to get through the day. It´s rich in minerals and vitamines. For example, almonds are full of  magnesium, manganes, calcium. In addition, it´s full of vitamin B and E. And? Why should I care if it even contains the whole alphabet? Well … for example,  vitamin E protects your immunity and it´s a key for healthy skin and eyes. Manganes on the other hand helps to protect your bones and keeps your sugar level under control. Plums and flaxseeds are good for your digestion. Plums, oats, chia seeds and quinoa help to protect your heart and keep your blood pressure and sugar level under control. Plums even improve your memory! So, keep that in mind when you are going to have some exams. In addition, sunflower seeds will help to calm your nerves if you are too nervous taking your exams. Sounds reasonable? At least, it convinced me. So, I´m gone go quickly and enjoy my lovely breakfast and get everything from the plum season. 🙂

Breakfast Bowl with Granola

Ingredients:

  • 170 g natural yogurt (unsweetened)
  • 2 juicy dates (optional, if you like it sweet)
  • 4 plums
  • ½ cup blueberries (frozen or fresh)
  • ½ ripe banana
  • handful of homemade honey almond granola
  • For decoration: 2 plums, some fresh strawberries (or other seasonal fruit or berries you can find)

Instructions: Blend yogurt, dates, plums, blueberries and banana. Put the smoothie into a bowl and add granola, fresh plums and strawberries.
